Vizag · Large-format showroom fit-outs

A showroom sells by how it lights product.

Jewellery, automotive, furniture, tiles, apparel — a showroom's job is to make the product read correctly from the street and again at arm's length. That is a lighting and sightline problem first, a joinery problem second, and in Vizag a facade-durability problem throughout.

What a showroom fit-out has to deliver.

Lighting specified, not selected

Colour temperature, colour rendering index and beam angle are specified against the product category. Jewellery, fabric and painted metal each need different treatment, and a showroom lit at the wrong CRI makes good product look wrong at the exact moment of decision.

Facade and glazing

The storefront does the first selling. Glazing, framing, signage integration and entrance detailing are coordinated as one element — and in Vizag, specified with the salt exposure of that particular street in mind.

Sightlines from the street

What a passer-by sees through the glazing at four metres decides whether they come in. Display heights, hero positions and the depth of the first zone are set from outside the shop, not from a plan view.

Display joinery that takes handling

Product gets picked up, put down and rearranged constantly. Display units are built with sealed edges and repairable surfaces, and made reconfigurable so a merchandising change does not become a construction project.

Back-of-house that works

Stock, packing, staff and service areas are planned properly rather than left as whatever space remained. A showroom whose stockroom does not work spills its disorder onto the sales floor within a month.

Brand-standard compliance

For franchise and single-brand showrooms we execute to the brand manual, producing submittals and mock-ups for approval, and flag in writing where a specified item will not survive coastal conditions.

Coastal exposure on a shopfront.

A showroom facade in Vizag faces the street's salt load every day and cannot be taken out of service to repair.

Frames and fasteners

Glazing frames, signage brackets and exposed fixings are specified for the exposure of that street. Corrosion staining down a glass facade is visible from a distance and is the fastest way for a new showroom to look neglected.

Entrance hardware

Door closers, floor springs and handles take the highest cycle count in the building and the most airborne salt. Stainless and properly rated hardware here is cheaper than the callouts a low specification generates.

Signage and lighting enclosures

External lighting and illuminated signage need correctly sealed enclosures and drainage. Water ingress into a sign is both a failure and an electrical risk.

Questions we hear most.

How long does a showroom fit-out take in Vizag?

Six to twelve weeks for a typical large-format showroom in a shell unit. Facade and glazing lead times, and brand-standard approvals where a franchise manual applies, are usually the critical path rather than the joinery. Any custom glazing or imported signage element should be ordered before internal work starts.

Why is showroom lighting treated as a separate discipline?

Because it is what actually sells the product, and it is the hardest thing to correct afterwards. Colour temperature, colour rendering index and beam angle need to be specified against the product category — jewellery needs high-CRI accent lighting at tight beam angles, apparel needs even, neutral fill, and painted or polished surfaces need control of reflections. Retrofitting the right fitting into finished joinery means opening it up again.

Can you execute to a franchise or brand manual?

Yes. We produce shop drawings, material submittals and mock-ups for brand approval and build to the manual. Where a manual specifies something that will not survive Vizag's coastal exposure — plated external hardware or an unsealed signage enclosure — we raise it in writing with a compliant alternative rather than install a known failure and hand over the consequence.

What makes a Vizag showroom facade different from an inland one?

The salt load on the street. Glazing frames, signage brackets, exposed fasteners and entrance hardware corrode far faster here, and corrosion staining running down a glass facade is visible from across the road. We specify the facade to the exposure of the actual street rather than to a generic retail standard, because a shopfront cannot be taken out of service for repairs the way an internal element can.

Can the showroom trade while you refurbish part of it?

Often yes, in zones, with hoarding and out-of-hours work for anything noisy or dusty. Facade and entrance work is the exception — it usually needs a short closure or a temporary entrance, and we would rather plan that with you upfront than promise continuous trading and then request a shutdown halfway through.

What does a showroom fit-out cost in Vizag?

Too dependent on scope to publish a rate. A tiles or furniture showroom needing simple display and good general lighting is a different order of cost from a jewellery showroom needing high-CRI accent lighting, security detailing and premium finishes. We price from a line-item BOQ after a site survey, separating facade, lighting, display joinery and back-of-house so you can see what each is costing.

Send the unit plan and the product you sell.

Share the shell drawings and tell us what will be on display, plus any brand manual that applies. We will come back with a lighting approach, a facade specification suited to that street's exposure, and a scoped BOQ.
