Have you delivered a mall unit in Rajamahendravaram?
No. Our completed retail work is high-street rather than mall — display joinery, counters and storefronts in Vizag, and a cafe fit-out in Chennai. Mall work adds an approvals and night-works layer on top of the same trades, and this page sets out how we run it, but if a delivered mall unit is a shortlisting requirement we do not meet it.
How long does a mall unit fit-out take here?
Four to eight weeks of site work for a typical unit, with the approval cycle ahead of it. Where the unit sits in a managed centre, drawing approval and its comments add two to four weeks and work is night-only, which roughly halves productive hours. Where it is street-front, that approval layer is replaced by an agreement with the owner. Either way the submission or the agreement is settled first, because that is the recoverable time.
What is a fit-out manual and why does it matter so much?
Where a centre issues one, it is the rulebook for tenant work: shopfront line and signage zone, permitted materials, ceiling void and sprinkler coordination, flooring transitions, barricade specification, working hours and the approval format. It governs the design, so it is read before drawings are produced rather than checked against them afterwards. Much of the work here is in buildings that issue no such manual, in which case the same points are agreed with the owner and written into the contract instead.
Do you handle the mall approvals and drawings?
Yes. We prepare the approval set in the mall's format, submit it, and manage the comment cycle to sign-off, along with contractor gate passes and worker documentation. The approval decision is the mall's; the completeness of the submission determines how many cycles it takes.
How is a kiosk or RMU different from a mall unit?
A kiosk is largely made before it arrives. It is fabricated off site, brought in, and assembled in a single short window, so the measurements carry the risk instead of the site crew — a finished unit cannot be trimmed to fit. Footprint, any height restriction and the power tie-in point are therefore confirmed before fabrication begins. For this market that fabrication sits in Vizag or Hyderabad, so transport is part of the sequence too.
Where would a kiosk actually be fabricated?
Off site, and for this market that may mean fabrication in Vizag or Hyderabad with transport in. We would tell you that at quotation stage because it affects both cost and the delivery window, and a kiosk arriving on a trading concourse at the wrong dimension is not a problem that can be solved on the night.
