- Cons: Cannot be painted a custom color; you are restricted to the manufacturer's color options.

Material 2: CNC-Routed MDF / HDHMR
For high-end, custom interiors, the fluted pattern is carved into a raw sheet of MDF or HDHMR board using a CNC router, and then painted with PU (Polyurethane).
- Pros: Completely customizable. You can choose the exact width of the flutes and paint it in any custom shade (e.g., deep charcoal, sage green, or matte black) to perfectly match your decor.
- Cons: Time-consuming and expensive, as it requires a high-quality PU spray finish to look premium.
- Best For: Premium living rooms, custom-colored accent walls.
Material 3: Solid Wood / Veneer Flutes
Individual battens of solid wood (like Teak or Pine) are nailed to a backing board, or a veneer sheet is grooved.
- Pros: Unmatched natural beauty and warmth. The authentic wood grain flows through the grooves.
- Cons: Very expensive. Requires skilled carpentry and expensive PU or Melamine polishing.
- Best For: Luxury master suites, high-end foyer areas.

Are fluted panels difficult to clean?
Dust will inevitably settle in the vertical grooves. WPC and PU-painted HDHMR panels are easy to clean with a dry microfiber duster or a vacuum brush attachment. Avoid using wet mops, especially on MDF panels.
Can fluted panels hide an uneven wall?
Yes. Fluted panels are typically mounted on a grid of aluminum or wooden framing (a false wall), which perfectly conceals uneven plaster, columns, and electrical wiring.
Which material is best if I want a specific color?
CNC-routed HDHMR board finished with PU paint is the only way to get an exact, custom color match for your interior design scheme. WPC panels only come in factory-set colors.
