- Countertop: Granite or Quartz. Avoid porous natural stones like marble directly under oil lamps as they will absorb oil stains over time. Quartz is non-porous and wipe-clean.
- Backdrop: Backlit CNC-cut Corian or MDF panels are extremely popular. Corian is washable and durable. If using wood veneer, it must be sealed with a high-quality PU or melamine coat to resist smoke.
- Cabinetry: BWR IS 303 plywood is recommended for the base units if they are frequently wiped down with damp cloths.
